01 / ACTIVATION

The change happens
at block 52,560.

Install v30 before this height. The difficulty and monetary rules switch together; earlier blocks keep their historical rules.

A supply limit is not circulating supply. New coins are issued over time; activation does not create a one-time allocation or change existing wallet balances.

02 / ASERT V2

Continuity at activation.
Adjustment every block.

Block 52,560 uses exactly the difficulty target from block 52,559. ASERT V2 then adjusts difficulty every block, using a 24-hour half-life and a 600-second target interval.

The half-life controls how quickly difficulty responds. It is not a waiting period between adjustments. Actual block times vary with mining conditions.

03 / MINING REWARDS

A longer horizon.

The new schedule extends mining rewards. Each halving divides the subsidy by two, rounding down to whole satoshis.

SECOND NEW HALVING157,680

Subsidies exclude transaction fees. Including historical issuance, genesis and integer rounding, the schedule permits at most 20,999.99903160 FIX. Unclaimed rewards are not reissued.

04 / SUPPLY TRANSPARENCY

A limit.
Not a balance.

21,000 FIX is the v30 limit. It does not describe coins already issued or circulating. Issuance, spendable funds and circulating supply are different quantities.

The historical frozen output

One output of 1,604.85615714 FIX, created at block 627, has been frozen by consensus since block 628. This rule remains in v30. Other outputs at the same address are not automatically frozen.

The output remains in the UTXO set but cannot be spent. It must not be counted as spendable funds or automatically described as destroyed.

Genesis and the first block

The genesis coinbase records 1 FIX but its output is not spendable. Block 1 had a special 1,600 FIX subsidy. The frozen output is a separate historical event.

What stays the same?

The genesis block, address formats, transaction format and historical frozen-output rule are unchanged. Blocks before activation retain their original consensus rules.
